Powerhouse Parramatta
Opening at the end of 2026, Powerhouse Parramatta is one of the world's most significant new museum projects. Community, industry and collection will intersect to create a dynamic culturally engaged program that will redefine museums.
Powerhouse Parramatta has been designed by internationally acclaimed French-Japanese practice Moreau Kusunoki in collaboration with award-winning Australian architecture firm Genton.
Together they conceived a monumental exoskeleton that establishes Powerhouse Parramatta as an architectural landmark. Made from 1,237 pieces, the superstructure creates 7 epic presentation spaces. This defining feature at the forefront of architecture allows the building to evolve and adapt to contemporary museum practice for generations to come.
